Luciana Naldi is a force to be reckoned with, a mama on a mission and the queen of turning obstacles into opportunities. She’s the mom of two sets of twins, a fitness buff, and due to an illness that caused her to lose her hair, a brave woman who decided to shave her head. Through that decision, she dropped emotional weight she’d been carrying for years (without realizing it), inspired people all around the world, got on Dove’s radar, took her speaking game to a whole other level and created her own “pretty woman” moment. Luciana Naldi is a former collegiate athlete, high school educator and championship winning basketball coach. She spent the first 10 years of her career teaching nutrition, movement, Olympic weightlifting and all things health, wellness and empowerment. After having her second set of twins, she quit her career to care for her children full time at home. The intensity of the experience led her to re-evaluate her beliefs, life goals, self-care practices and make radical changes to it all so she could create her vision of healthy and happy. Two years later, she started teaching and coaching women on implementing self-care skills related to nutrition, mindset and motherhood among other things. At the same time she began writing and speaking and has been published in the Huffington Post and spoken to various groups on establishing and cultivating a positive mindset, nutrition skills for both adults and kids, and how to use obstacles as opportunities for learning and growth. She most recently was featured in Dove's Real Beauty Campaign for sharing her journey to and through becoming a bald woman as a result of having alopecia.
